An old familiar violin is mounted on this painting. It was my mother’s violin and remember listening to her practice when I was a young boy. Her violin teacher told her she was gifted but would need to get a better instrument if she wanted to progress. My parents couldn't afford a more expensive one so she made do. She was musical, artistic and wrote beautiful words in a poetic way.
